In 2013 at a business conference we canvassed some businesses based in the Thames Valley, UK. National media had identified that the majority of FTSE 100 and 250 companies had ‘innovation’ as major topic in their Annual Reports. Yet our experience was that the majority of companies didn’t really know what innovation was and how to manage it!
We talked to many companies, of all sizes and covering many different sectors and markets to try and understand what they thought the problem was with regards to ‘innovation’. The result was this briefing document on what can hold even the most creative companies back in their innovation activities.
